Some retailers are massive – so massive, in fact, that they have buyers for just about everything!
The UK’s largest supermarket, for example, has buyers for popcorn, single-serve snacks and sharing snacks – making a recent popcorn project an interesting challenge!
This is step one when we undertake a new project. Big retail buyers are moved around so often, that we often need to replace up to 70% of our database’s relevant contacts before starting a project.
2) SALES LEAD GENERATION

This is where it starts to get more difficult, we hedge our bets by making well-constructed, thoughtful personal email/telephone approaches, but simply put – it is very difficult to turn these into opportunities for you to pitch without a significant amount of considered follow-up.

How many branches do they have? What are their standard payment terms?

Hi I’m Sheridan and I founded NCD 12 years ago (Gosh, was it that long ago?!) having previously worked in various Director-level roles in several major blue-chip companies. I simply wanted to help people realise their dreams of seeing their products on the shelves of big retailers – I can proudly say that collectively, our team has done that – and long may it continue!
In my spare time, I am a veritable DIY expert and music connoisseur.
I’m a real high-flyer, having recently turned my hat towards glider piloting!
I am a straight talking sales person who rolls her eyes when she’s being ‘sold to’.
I’m Vickie, and when I was young I had a dream – to be the best showjumper in the world. But that didn’t work out, so I moved on and now I turn my attentions to being a total sales expert. Getting you more discussions with the people that matter, and to put you right in front of whoever you want to talk to. Sounds simple? We know its not….it’s all the stuff you love to hate, I just love.
An equal dab hand at managing busy
daughters and dogs and far too many sporting commitments. Survives on coffee and sarcasm. Just don’t get me started on football.
An obsessive Botanical Artist. Lover of exploring and gathering Wild Food. That’s right, I pick wild fruits and eat them, cook with them and blog about it. I’m far more comfortable on the other side of the camera and love to capture wild places as I hike.
My Degree is in English Literary Studies and my work experience in Customer Service. I am now keen to be learning new and exciting things.
